Time for a diet?

This prompt is inspired by a good friend of mine who I work with all the time in trying to help improve my writing.
She has a character who, like many other muses out there, is represented visually by a picture of a celebrity (no I’m not saying who). Well, one day as my friend was looking at some pictures of this particular celebrity it was noticed that one picture in particular made the person look a little chubby in the middle. This immediately had the muse for the fictional character asking if it needed to go on a diet.
This was an amusing event that inspired a lot of humorous jokes about the muse between me and my friend and a few very fun to write scenes of the muse munching celery and mixing up salads.
So, your prompt for today – what would prompt your muse to decide they needed to go on a diet? Would they go on a diet? If not, why not? Write up something that shows them at the moment of discovery for the need to diet and then follow through on do they or don’t they go on a diet.
