Writing Prompt: Bread

Work something about bread into your novel, maybe it could be the character is making a sandwich, or baking bread (which is what I am up to and why that is your prompt 
). What kind of bread might your hero be severed by an alien species? Looking for an interesting flaw for your character? What about making them allergic to wheat and unable to eat bread (and a lot of other things – more info on wheat allergies).
