Writing Prompt: And The Day Started Out So Well Too

Have you ever had one of those days that seemed to start out so well that you are eager to start the day, only to have something happen that just blows it all up and you suddenly feel completely crappy and just want to crawl into bed and hug your pillow to cry yourself to sleep?
Time to put your protagonist through that. Give them a setup for a good day and then turn things upside down on them. Make the day so lousy that they want to crawl back and try to do it over again. I’ll leave the how’s and such to you and your muses.
