Today’s prompt is a dog, mainly because I have dogs underfoot more than usual. The dog can be a real dog that is encountered, or one in a picture, even a statue of a dog. Maybe one of your characters is talking about a dog they once had? Or comparing another character to a type of dog? Perhaps a child has a stuffed or toy dog? Or the hero sees a dog figurine on the mantle of the old woman’s home? You might even go so far as to have your character find a taxidermied dog.
