From Creative Writing Prompts – their prompt 115:
For 90 seconds write a list of everything you would find in a hospital room. Once finished, write a scene using everything you listed, but not set in or near a hospital.

It is February, which means Valentine’s Day is near. Take a fifteen minute writing break to write about what love is. You could either d this as a writing exercise to define what you think love is, or as a character building exercise to define how one of your characters perceives love.
Not a fan of the romance of Valentine’s Day? Feel free to write about what makes love a bad thing.

Sitting here watching my dad’s kitten attack his cat in one playful pounce after another, I find myself wondering just how someone might write about that.
Perhaps from the observer’s perspective as I watched it? Maybe from the Point of view of either the kitten or the cat?
Set your timer and spend fifteen minutes writing about the subject from whatever perspective catches your fancy. Maybe the observations of a mouse watching from the bookcase?

Set your timer for 15 minutes and begin writing a scene where two characters use swords. This could be a sword fight, someone swinging a sword they found in an antique shop or old attic, even two men with wooden swords practicing a fighting technique.
The goal is to spend fifteen minutes on how to write about the movements that go into the use of a sword, or sword-like object. Perhaps someone holding off ruffians with a cane or an umbrella?
