The Daily Writing Prompt

Foul Weather

5
January 2008

It’s 20 below Fahrenheit, and there is a dense fog advisory in the area where I live, so that has me thinking foul weather.  So, your prompt for today is foul weather.

Maybe your protagonist is caught in a sudden downpour, or there is a high wind advisory, maybe a tornado watch in effect?  Something to do with bad weather.  Maybe even just a painting of a old time sailing ship caught in stormy seas?

In space?  How about some kind of bad space type of storms.  Unexplained intense magnetic storm or two men swapping stories about having been through storms in space?  Maybe a planet that has nothing but a nasty storm over its surface at all times?  Has the heating system on the space ship gone down, leaving the crew facing freezing?

Medieval or fantasy?  How about folks in a tavern explaining a bad thunderstorm as being the gods at war?  How would they explain a bad cold snap?
